envelope 是名词（=信封），不是动词。

envelop 才是动词（注意没字母e），意思是“覆盖；包住”。如：

mountain peaks enveloped in mist笼罩在薄雾中的群峰

the enveloping darkness 笼罩四周的黑暗

She was enveloped in a huge white towel. 她裹在一条白色大毛巾里。
Clouds enveloped the mountain TOPs. 云雾笼罩着山顶。
